Bill Fell is a large format black and white photographer who concentrated on the rural landscapes of Ontario, and in particular the Georgian Bay area, since the mid 1980's.  In 2013 Bill moved to British Columbia where he now photographs the unique land and seascapes of western Canada.

From the moment he visualizes the image until the silver gelatin print is framed each step is meticulously hand crafted.

First each zone of the scene to be photographed is carefully metered to determine the appropriate exposure and development for the negative.

Premium double weight fibre paper is used to print the image.

When required during the printing process various masking techniques are incorporated to enhance shadow and highlight detail, contrast, as well as the overall sharpness of the final print.

Each print is individually processed to archival standards to ensure a lifetime of quality and permanence.

The photograph is then framed using only acid free materials.

All photographs are individually handcrafted by Bill to ensure the highest degree of craftsmanship and quality.
